Denominational Connections

Our purpose is to strengthen the Unitarian Universalist movement by promoting interest and involvement in Unitarian Universalist activities and events, specifically in the Northern New England District and the Unitarian Universalist Association of Congregations. We do this by:

Arranging car pooling to the Fall and Spring District meeting, encouraging our members and friends to spend time with other UUs in Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont

Sending delegates to our national annual meeting - "GA" or, General Assembly - and asking those delegates to report back to our congregation

Sponsoring special worship services devoted to our denominational connections, such as United Nations Day and Association Sunday

Organizing our yearly Guest-at-Your-Table program to support the efforts of our national social justice committee, the UUSC (Unitarian Universalist Service Committee)

The First Universalist Church of Yarmouth is proud to be part of a larger faith movement, in a covenantal relationship with our sister churches, our District and the UUA. We are not an isolated community, but part of a world-wide network of Unitarian Universalism - our "living tradition"!
