Annual Report 20052006
Report from the Caring Connection
Caring Connection has had a busy and productive year, helping 10 to 15 families / individuals with various needs. Some of these commitments have been long-term assistance with meals to families with serious health challenges, and since January we have provided over 100 meals to different people. We currently have 35 volunteers on the 'making food' list, and everyone has helped at different times so that nobody is overburdened. We have also visited church members who cannot get out as frequently, provided rides to medical appointments, helped with home moves and odd jobs of help around the house. An additional 30 to 40 people help out in these other categories, and new volunteers are always adding their names to the lists.
Anne Turner joined Joy Ahrens to help co-ordinate Caring Connection this year. She replaced Angie Arndt who generously assisted last year. Many thanks Angie, and thank you Anne for stepping in.
I look forward to another good year. And mostly, thanks to all the volunteers throughout the church community who continue to make this system work!
